At left are pictures from a recent project in which several rooms were completed on a very modest budget. In fact, the total cost for a kitchen, living room, and entrance refinishing along with the complete renovation of two baths was less than some full-scale kitchen renovations. Existing items were reused and all of the new materials were carefully selected for value. Notice the attention to craft and the resolution of awkward problems in the existing house (such as at the entrance stair). The design was intended to be clean, easily saleable for the future, and to work well with the owner’s antiques.
