Sweet Photography

Description

I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a photographer. I would steal my mom’s camera and go off taking pictures of trees and flowers. My mom wouldn’t know until she got the film developed. Even though I knew I wanted to be a photographer, I spent a good portion of my high school and afterwards trying to answer the ever pressing “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. I always seemed to struggle with answering it. Do I do what i’m passionate about or do I do something that is more practical. I would go back to photography over and over again. As time went on, I realized I wanted-needed-to spend my time doing something I could be passionate about. Something that made me want to get up everyday and be excited for my career. I took Digital Photography at Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna, BC. I wanted to go to school and learn as much as I could about photography. I am currently living in Edmonton, Alberta but I love to travel to other cities to photograph for clients. I hope to specialize in weddings, portraits and food photography. Weddings are a celebration of life. I love capturing people’s expressions on that day and hearing their unique stories of how they met. Capturing such a special day and being able to experience this special day with the couple. I also have a huge passion for baking and cooking and I think this is the reason I enjoy doing food photography. Everyday I realize how much in love I am with what I do and how happy I am to be able to do what I do. Erin Sweet
