Katies is not only a cheery, tasty place to stop for a meal, but also a great place to find many Japanese grocery items and gift items. There are a few small tables for dining in, but I usually find myself here for takeout- the service is fast enough that by the time you've browsed around the store, your order is ready! Freshly made gyoza and chicken karage are just a few of the hot specials I've tried here- both delicious! Portions were generous and came with condiments, too. The sushi is neatly rolled and always very fresh, with some inspired choices like teriyaki rolls and smoked salmon and cream cheese. The party platters offer good value and selection- you can combine a number of different sushi rolls on one platter. The food has a nice "homemade" quality to it, and is never greasy. Service is very friendly. Bottled pop, juice, water and imported Japanese drinks are available to go with your food.
