was there yesterday to switch my plates to my new car. They wouldn't accept the bill of sale from Country Hills Toyota, they claimed it needed to be signed by the dealership. There isn't even a designated line for that signature anywhere on the bill of sale. The service has always been surly there, and the surcharges high, but since this happened I can also say they are incompetent. There is no other registry service in Olds, they are the only government approved registry service in town, and they should have their licence yanked. This is one glaring case where privatization of government services has failed, and they will continue to screw people around and mistreat then as they please, with their "go somewhere else If you don't like our service" attitude until they are sanctioned or closed. I had to go to Red Deer and get my plate transferred at AMA. Good service, no stupid issues with my bill of sale, no stupid surcharges, but I had to drive all the way to Red Deer and back.
