A Few Boards Short Ltd is a small, family operated business that has been serving Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding areas for 15 years. We are a small business and that enables us to deal directly with the customer, understanding your needs and requests. We pride ourselves on offering fast, courteous service - focusing on YOU - the customer.
Our specialty is exterior renovations, including Hardie plank, siding, decorative batten trim for windows and doors (never paint again!), soffit, fascia, trough, roofing, windows and doors. Our windows are manufactured locally in Calgary, where the customer can see the product and ask relevant questions. Dealing with problems if they occur is much easier because everything is done right here. We can take care of all your renovation and contracting needs. I was promised an invoice/receipt for the roofing job this company begged me to let them do. The job was completed at the beginning of June. I was promised an invoice prior to the job and the week after the job was completed, but never received one. Despite several attempts at trying to get something on paper, no go. He always says "tomorrow", but tomorrow has still to come. Darcy says because I paid him in cash, there doesn't need to be a paper trail. I didn't know that's how businesses do things as I have paid cash for lots of jobs, plumbing, furnace maintenance, etc & always get an invoice marked "paid.' I want to put my house on the market, but I have no documentation saying my shingles have been replaced and the product used. Not very professional for someone who said he has been in the business for 20 years! I'm not very happy with their approach & in hindsight, I should have hired a local, more reputable & professional roofer.
