Pizza Banfi has been home to Forest Hill Village since 1988. Banfi was named after a famous Italian actor Lino Banfi. Giovanni Turano, known to all as Nino, was born in Genova, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1982. His origin is reflected in the menu offering food from the North and South of Italy. Pizza Banfi became famous and well known for its gourmet thin crust pizza. The food, the atmosphere and the excellent service is what has made Pizza Banfi one of the best restaurants in Toronto.

This is comfort food to me, all quarterbacked by owner Nino, who makes a point to know your name and welcome you with a handshake. The menu has grown quite substantially over the last few years and even includes grilled meats. I stick to the standards like pizza and pasta, with my favorite being the Penne Banfi. The appetizers and salads are all top notch and for the price, this place can't be beat. There is a reason it's busy from the time it opens it's doors for lunch through the end of dinner. Forrest Hill Villages best restaurant.
