Gaya Korean Restaurant

Considering the slim choices of good Korean Food in Edmonton and the favourable location of this restaurant (extremely close to the University of Alberta - North Campus), I think the Korean food it delivers is pretty reasonable. I had the kimchi fried rice - one of the cheaper-priced items on the menu - because I didn't quite feel like bip bim bap this particular occasion. The kimchi was incredibly delicious with the fried rice and it was received with relish. I was a bit disappointed though.... even though it delivers traditional main courses, the side dishes are not traditional by any means. Usually, in Korean tradition, you receive two to three side dishes with your meal (including a bowl of kimchi on its own). All I received with the Kimchi fried rice and nothing else. Having been in Korea for sometime and have developed a yearning for the food, this restaurant manages to fulfill the cravings. Note: it's a bit small and cramped so it is probably a good idea to go with just a few friends.
