McNabb Earl Appliance Repair

In February, I called McNabb's to service my LG washing machine.I said it was making a funny noise on the spin cycle. It was working , so I said 'next time he is in the neighbourhood, and he has time, call and come over'. I knew the technician lived in Norwood, so I was expecting a 20-30km. travel allowance, to get to my home in Havelock. Needless to say I was flabbergasted to get an invoice for $136 for Steve to come in, shake the tub, say it was broken, but he would work out a price, when he got back to the shop. He said it would be expensive, and we would probably prefer to purchase a new machine. I didn't expect him to run right back to the shop to give me a price. I was charged a round trip from Peterborough. I called and spoke to Shirley in the office and she said she would look into this and call me back.
