Description

Cafe Deux Soleils, a vegetarian eatery, has been feeding hordes of Drive residents for the past decade and a half. Famous for its brunches, Poetry Slams, and live music events, the big box room plays host to a variety of events and proves itself quite flexible in hosting the Drive's eclectic groups.
Our dinner menu starts at 5 and features a wide variety of burgers, entrees inspired by the six inhabited continents, and appetizers for the mildly peckish to down-right hungry.

I've tended to have a very enjoyable time at Cafe Deux Soleil - and, to be honest, it is among my top two favourite places to dine when I am dining with Vegetarian friends as their menu offers a great selection of vegetarian dishes (and not just salads!). Their veggie chili is really wonderful. Much of the menu is organic and/or local, and this is reflected in the pricing, so expect to pay $12 to $15 for a casual lunch. This can also be a fun evening hangout as they will often have live music and other entertainment in the evenings. Ownership has changed a couple of times and sometimes the quality of the food is inconsistent. Service tends to be friendly, but not overly speedy. Don't expect to be totally wowed - by service, or food quality - but it's decent.
