Ray of Hope Morning Glory Cafe & Bakery

This is a great cafe in downtown Kitchener. They have such fresh baked items every morning and their coffee is pretty good too. It's a very affordable place to eat, and the blueberry strudle muffin is my favourite. The best part about this cafe is when you visit, you are helping people to advance their lives. Ray of Hope launched this business to help teach practical skills and positive work habits to those that have had difficulty gaining long term employment for a six month period. As it states on their website "Ray of Hope has a strong desire not only to play a role in the transformation of individual lives, but to be a community leader in the revitalization of the much-criticized east end of downtown Kitchener." This cafe is funded in part by "Service Canada under the Youth Employment Strategy Projects as well as kind donations from individuals, churches, and businesses in our community. Café sales also help in offsetting the cost of running the program." So, come and enjoy a meal!
