High Park Martial Arts Academy

As a student who has been training for 15 years in this Dojo I can attest to the fact that Sensei does not humiliate or embarrass the kids in class. We are taught discipline and the benefits of hard work and involvement. I find the Dojo a caring and giving place. Any day of the week you can find students (including kids) helping out in classes to promote a positive outlook in the process. Sensei lets kids as young as 5 years old join the Dojo but you must be at least 18 to get your blackbelt. Everyone is told this ahead of time but some people don't have the patience to keep their kids in class for that many years to achieve blackbelt status. I can tell you this, it's not because of Sensei or the students. This is a positive and caring environment. Please come in to see it for yourself and you will know just how far off the negative review is below. Being in the same location is a good thing. I teach a Friday Teen's class full of students that began 8 to 10 years ago who just love the Dojo.
