I am a professional therapist / counsellor with a focus on working with couples and individuals, with 40 years clinical experience and Master of Science degree in counselling from University of Calgary.
MY FOCUS. My strength and focus in effective transformation of problems based on root issues. By root issues I mean patterns that can be traced back to early memories and traumatic events. The key insight here is that our personality pattern and repetitive problems are rooted in memory stores and the perspective contained in them. MY METHOD of life transformation, in fact I use several methods that can be highly effective within a short timeframe. These methods include emerging evidenced-based secular methods and my well-honed methods of listening prayer therapy. These methods focus on core beliefs or emotional learning to bring about the complete removal of these emotional learnings. RESULTS: With individuals I have a reputation for quickly getting to root issues in people's lives and effectively dealing with them. Quickly means that results are produces much quicker that expected with common methods of psychotherapy. RESULTS with couples: Have had both success and failures with couples. I now realize that marriage counselling is not a good format for dealing with the significant individual issues that undermining the effectiveness of establishing good team work and bonding. Where that is the case, and it often is, it is wise to spend some focused time on the individual growth and transformation. I can assure you that I am consistently balanced and fair when working with couples. I do understand issues better than most and have a consistent set of tools that move the relationship toward deeper bonding and strong teamwork.
