Brian came and gave us a "free" quote on a staircase renovation. We agreed on the job and I gave him the 50% deposit he required. After seeing that the spindles he was giving us did not match the rest of the existing staircase we decided to cancel the project. Brian would only refund us a small portion of the deposit we paid him even though the spindle company says they would refund 100% of orders within 30 days. It was well before the 30 day deadline. He explained to us that he needed to charge us for his time. He was very unreasonable and would not refund our money to us. So much for the "free" quote!
