CIBC

CIBC is convenient because they have so many ATMs throughout the city. As a CIBC client, you can easily avoid getting charged an extra $1.25-$2.00 per transaction for going to ATMs inside convenience stores etc...I had a CIBC account at one time but for other reasons I currently have an account elsewhere. When looking for an ATM, I often cannot find one within walking distance and end up at a convenience store or another bank's ATM machine... that's when I started noticing how many CIBC machines there are ! The CIBC branch is also conveniently located at Dufferin & King, usuallly the ATM machines are working (or at least they have 2 machines in case one is down). There is usually a small line up if you need to see a teller inside the bank but it moves quite fast. The Branch Manager is accessible, helpful and friendly. The only drawback is the 2 desks/ kiosks at the back set up for business or customer service. It is not clear who they are providing service for nor where to line up.
