My name is Elora Gartley and I am a Registered Social Worker. In 2013, I completed my bachelor's honours degree in Psychology at Brock University. From there, I worked in developmental services for five years supporting children and adults with dual diagnosis. In 2017, I completed my Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.
For the past two years, I have worked in the violence against women sector. I have worked with men who are mandated to attend counselling following domestic violence charges. Additionally, I have provided trauma-informed and evidence-based counselling services to both women and children who have experienced domestic violence. My experience in providing compassionate, evidence-based counselling services is bolstered by my lived experience with mental health and domestic violence. I empathize with your struggles because I have been there too. I am certified in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, completing both Level I and Level II certificates in 2017. Presently, I am in the process of becoming a Certified Trauma Integration Clinician. The approach I use is eclectic, meaning I pull from a variety of evidence-based treatments for your individualized counselling sessions.
