Whenever someone asks me about my dog, I have a million and one things I could say about her. I absolutely, without a doubt, love her with all of my heart. When I realized she was an absolute terror and out of control, I had to do something. She did not listen to me at all. She would run around the house like mad and bolt out the door, eat all of my shoes, and jump on everyone who came through the door. She lunged and barked at every dog that would walk by us. It got to the point where I didn't even want to walk her out of fear of what she might do if I couldn't hold her back. She actually dragged me through mud once, after seeing a squirrel.
Someone told me what a bad dog she was, and that I should give her away. I couldn't, I knew I had a good dog. She just needed help. I read countless books and journals, watched hours of videos and educated myself on how to get the best version of my dog possible. Just 6 months later, I have a dog that I love and adore more and more every day. If I call her from 100 miles away, she will come running because that is the bond my training has built. She is an amazement to me and everyone else. It is my passion to keep improving and keep changing her life, and mine, for the better.
