I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) with the provincial regulatory association, the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists.
I am also a professional member and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, a national professional association. Registration with these associations involves fulfillment of academic requirements, a supervised practicum and completion of supervised counselling practice. My work as a counsellor is informed by my training as well as my life experiences as a partner, mother and more than thirty years of experience in working with children and youth. It is also driven by my compassion and caring about the impact of life's challenges and transitions that affect all of us at different times throughout our lives.
