Blooming Butterflies Early Learning is a Kindergarten Readiness program in a private day home setting for children aged 3-5. BB also offers art classes.
Full and Part time spaces available. Ages 3-5 (turning 3 by the end of the calendar year) Preschool Program with Childcare hours. Beddington NW, just off of 14th street which makes it great for anyone heading into downtown! "My name is Audra Merino. I am an Alberta Certified Teacher, with a Fine Arts background, who loves what I do. I have taught Junior and Senior Kindergarten in Calgary for two years and am now opening my own early learning childcare centre in Beddington NW Calgary. With my experience and knowledge of the current Alberta Curriculum, I aim to prepare 3-5 year olds for Kindergarten and beyond. I want to instill a love of learning in young children and am a fond believer that children learn best through play and exploration. Here at Blooming Butterflies, children will be encouraged to ask questions, explore their curiosities and experiment with new ideas. I want to give them opportunities to discover what they are interested in. Daily lessons and activities will be inspired and driven by what children at Blooming Butterflies are curious about. As much as possible; children will be learning outdoors. Whether that be science experiments and arts, gross motor skills, even math and language. I am a firm believer that children need to actively “do” what they are learning. Children cannot and should not sit for long. I want to encourage them to always be active in their learning and lifestyle."
