Tyler replaced my hot water tank at the beginning of July, 2015. I have since been informed by a Gas Safety Officer from the 'Safety Authority' that Tyler was not licensed to perform work as a gas fitter in BC until August 13th, 2015, which is why he did not present a permit to do the work in July. Tyler told me that he was licensed when he did the installation. He lied. This has been revealed to me as a result of a home inspection. The gas inspectors, who have been investigating Tyler's credibility since June, have informed me of two major problems with the July installation. Tyler's response is less than professional. He insists that putting a dryer duct on a hot water heater, and using plastic piping is safe. He is pompous enough to question the Safety Authority. If you have had any work done by Tyler Kwiczak of Small Town Plumbing & Heating in Salmon Arm, I would have it checked out by a licensed professional.
